I am looking for storage as well. I only have a one car garage, and it looks like I am buying another tub to build as mine is shot. I wonder if I could hoist it up to the ceiling....what might a tub with doors and bonnet weigh?

Probably too much if it is a standard garage. (sorry)

I'm going to guess 500 lbs. 300 for the shell, 50 each for the doors and no more than 100 for the bonnet

That is so sad. Lost and loanly already.

Really? That is all?

when mine was dismantled for media blasting it took two of us to load the shell on the trailer - we couldn't just pick it up and throw it around, but, two guys could carry it. The only difference between that and a BE shell is that the boot lid was off the car, on the other hand, a '76 shell has more bracing so, it balances. The doors have no glass, other than awkwardness, one person should be able to carry the bonnet, so, yes, I think so.

Last fall me and three other people moved a bugeye shell. We carried it out of a basement and up a VERY steep hill. I'd guess that it was just short of 400 lbs.
