Tunebug' head repaired and on it way back to Steve

Hap,
You're alright in my book! From my perspective it's more important that you stand behind the finished product than anything else. We've had a couple of dealings before I bought the Tunebug and you proved then that you do what you say you're going to do when you say you're going to do it. (that played a role in my buying this car) In this case you had no legal obligation to me to fix this issue. I recognize that. You did it because you stand behind your product, your honest and you care. Your INTEGRITY is beyond reproach as far as I'm concerned. That matters more than who you sub what job to. I N T E G R I T Y ...

The head just arrived a couple of hours ago so I'll post something else when I get it back together and the weather clears up some...

Once again, Thanks Hap.
Steve

It's all a great big fun hobby for me, one of the best parts is getting to say "I don't know" and having someone who really does know explain it to me.

I wouldn't tell you how to build an engine and I would not expect you to tell me how to set up a Server. Maybe you could, but I'll keep my own council on it.
That's because it's my responsibility - I have to answer for it and no one else. I can't say "I did it that way because Hap said it would be better". My boss just wouldn't understand.
We each have our areas of expertise and we are better for it as a society.

That said, I enjoy all the parts of working on my cars and when the time comes to pull my engines apart I'll be doing it. I will take some things to good machinists and have them do their magic when needed and then I'll bolt it all back together and be very pleased when it runs.
That's because this is my hobby and I enjoy it.

I don't expect it to be as good as if I had sent it off to be done and received it back ready to install, but that's okay with me.

I'm just looking forward to the Vroom Vroom posting here... though probably not as much as Steve is. :driving:

Thanks guys for the kind words, I don't know that I deserve them after this rant, in fact I'm getting ready to delete it.

Steve, I realized after I boxed the head up and sent it out, I forget to include a rocker arm spring washer for you, so it is coming in a envolope via USPS. I did put the AN needles in there, I would put the jet down about .070" down for the bridge and try it there, thats stock setting, but I find it works well, even for modded motors, keep them nice and crisp, as most LBCs out there are running a bit too rich, and the combustion chamber color pretty much told me your was as well, we had a #3 needle in them, and it not alot different than the stock AN, except richer at the more open throttle positions, I think this will make a better needle for you, we used the exact same needle on David's "Gundy" HS2s as well, he richend up a little from there, but his engine is also a 1380cc. Some fols even run the AN in the limited prep SCCA race 1275, but I like giving those engines a bit more fuel.
