Tunebug exhaust up-date

I got the Tunebug back from the muffler shop today. They put on a much quieter muffler and fixed the leak at the pipe -> header junction. That's all working as it should be now.

Unfortunately, the chirping sound is still there, so I'll need to dig into the carbs/header/intake area and see if I can find the leak. At least I've ruled out the other spots further down the line, and the pipe and muffler are now correct. It's a start.

I'm off this weekend, so I'll have some time to poke around.

Re: Tunebug exhaust up-date

Drew- dumb question, is that squeak maybe drive shaft hitting the tunnel?
In that sound clip..where was the recording device? The loudest squeak seems to be on the first clutch release.
Header isn't touching the frame or anything is it? Just spit-balling ideas..I know it would drive me nuts too.

Re: Tunebug exhaust up-date

Drew I think looking at the carbs, and header for the leak is a wise move. Process of elimination sir. Call me if you need me.

Re: Tunebug exhaust up-date

Recording device was my iPhone in my hand.

Noise seems to be just under load.

Re: Tunebug exhaust up-date

I know Drew, bring it down here and we'll fix it.

I wish I could, Jack. A weekend with you and Doc and it'd be singing sweet and clear.
