Tule Fog--no LBC driving for me

I know the salt on roads is causing withdrawal symptoms in many of you. Here in the Central Valley of CA, what is keeping me off the roads in my TR7 is the thick fog (less than 100ft visibility) If you haven't been lucky enough to experience this, it really is like pea soup. Yesterday, there were 14 separate collisions along a 6-mile stretch of HW99. In all, 56 cars and 4 big rigs were entangled in multiple pile ups. No thanks! I think I'll stick to errands in town until it clears up a bit. Salt and Fog are definately LBC Killjoys. If you are out, be safe!

I lived in California's central valley for decades before moving to Socal - I absolutely abhor the tule fog there. It is incredibly dangerouse to drive in as often times you cannot see beyond the end of the hood of your car! Yet people blast down Highway 99 like it's clear as a bell and then end up in a miles long multi car accident as a result. Happens almost every year around Kingsburg, about 20 miles south of Fresno. No one has seen fog until they experience the central valley fog. Just like the movie says, "there is something in the fog"...yeah other drivers that can't see you!

Yup, spent time with the head out the window at 15 mph watching the white line and foglights on(aimed low) beeping the horn every 30 seconds... Saw a few, but avoided being in one myself...
