Tudor Washer Bottle

I could not see myself spending more than $50.00 for a Tudor washer bottle for the B/E.

(the bottle on the right is for a later sprite or MGA)

So this is my answer for the copy. The bottle is 3.5 in by 8.5 in. The original is 3.5 by 8.0 (via Holden UK). The bottle was $1.87 at the local Nasco Store. A dozen are available online for ~$18.70 plus shipping. The brass fitting is a cut and bronzed air T fitting $1.50 from a local dairy supply store. Tudor sticker came with my decal kit for the B/E (still have 2 left-over). I'll put it in the bracket on Sat to look at the fit, but it should be correct. I could get some for anyone who needs one.

P.S. The caps exchange betweeen the 2 bottles, so you could replace your old or cracked bottle.

Paul:

Let us know how it fits. I've got an old bottle with a cracked top, so if it fits I'll buy one from you.

The diameter is perfect. I think the top lid might sit a little proud (I might try to sand down the threads). Not bad for <$5.00

I've received a few requests for water bottles. Here is what I'd like to do. I bought 11 bottles today and would like to donate them to the BCF. Would Tony or Basil like to be our "Bottle" distributer and donate the profits to the BCF? I could handle this on my end but I would like a few comments from some of the experts in the Group as to the quality of the bottle.

Except for the brass fitting & the 'decal', it looks just like the one I recently bought from Moss...unfortunately, its too small for my '63 Midget...I've gotta have one with a much larger diameter.

Tony
That should be the correct diameter for the '63 as the B/E also used the same large diameter bottle.

The bracket in mine is much larger...see how it flops around in there:

Wrong bottle tony.

You are just about a year and 4 months late telling him that. He probably wont be able to exchange it now. :jester:

True, it's on the shelf.....gotta find the correct one now.
