Came across a TR with this VIN. What info does this give us? Appreciate the tribal knowledge. 👍🙂👍

Geez Peter... Are you in need of a new planter for the front yard?!? :scared::devilgrin:

I know of a nice Rolls Corniche drop-head you could get fer a song...

Not sure how the city would feel about that!! LoL 😆

If it is truly a "turn-key" car, it could be worthwhile to look it over. If it "needs a bit of work" it will become a labor of love. An affair which may last long into this decade...

...and you TR-3 guys can start to hate on me now...

Definitely not turn key.....been left untouched for 30-40 years is all..... 🤪

Well, it IS shiny on the outside, anyway. :hammer2::jester:

Sorta, kinda..... On closer examination after first blush, I realized there are no fender seams, front and rear.. .no welting/beading strips(?)...... that can't be good...... Oh yeah, the engine is locked up too. Minor details, right??? 🙄🤪🙄

Some evident rust issues at the usual places, lower rear fenders where they meet the rockers. The front fenders where they meet the doors look like they have been mudded up with filler. They "roll" into the shut lines. A "Mud Buggy"> It'd be a "Project Car", IMHO. A looong project.

Seeing the photos, if it came into our shop the first step would be to do a "wallet biopsy" on the owner. A $5K deposit, monthly updates with photos for evidence as to why more would be needed. Not worth it unless you NEED a DIY project. Hope someone will come along to save it though. Just not you.

Just another $5K is all. Might get away with under $2K if you do it at leisure. And have a good friend with a machine shop.

That's likely a '60 model, sans overdrive. Any more info as to originality will require checking in with the British Motor Heritage Trust.
