trying unsuccessfully to sign onto healeys.autox..

Offline
Hi there,
I have been trying unsuccessfully to sign up for healeys@autox.team.net for quite some time now. I have left the subject line blank and tried every possible combination of wording to no avail. Can someone please tell me the exact details of how to register for this site? Thanks!

I've been signed up for several years. But I receive messages sporadically. I post but never see my own posts. I will receive replies occasionally. It's quite flawed unfortunately.

I just lurk there. I believe you cannot see your own post or so I hear (read). So many people post the same thing on both thats its boring. It is apparently harder to post pictures. I like it here and all the very nice folks here. Nothing against them at all.

When I post there, I can see my own posts.

That is one thing that bugs me. The mail server strips all attachments.

As Peter said, go here:
https://autox.team.net/mailman/listinfo/healeys
Follow the directions to sign up. It really isn't THAT hard to do.

There is also a very good searchable archive here:
https://www.team.net/archive/healeys/

This forum AND the "list" each have their own merits. I receive about 20 entries per day from the list. If you are interested in the technical aspects of Healeys, the list has a lot of members with years & years of Healey experience. There are other similar lists for Triumph, MG, etc.

True, the list will not accept "attachments" but there is the option of replying directly to a person, which of course allows attachments. If the message is addressed "reply to all" the individual gets the attachment & it is removed from the copy that goes to the list.

My own posts always come to me as a separate copy & also with an acknowledgement that the post was received. All very easy & useful IMO. You might be surprised at how many folks are using both.
