We buy a lot of stuff online and never have any trouble, but never Home Depot. It just worked out that way. My wife saw a nice flat-top grill on the net and tried to buy it. She found out it was being sold by Home Depot. The problem is that now HD requires one to become a member to purchase anything on the net regardless of one's high credit standing. The wife was on the phone for over an hour trying to understand a person who could barely speak the English language, and after filling out a bunch of paperwork, it never went through! I told her to forget it and find one from a company who uses English speaking employes! Were still looking!! :rolleyes2: PJ
 
I sure hope you were indeed speaking with HD and not give out sensitive information.
As far as I know you can order from HD online and check out as a “guest “

Paul - I think you were being bamboozled. A non-Home Depot website advertises something that's only sold by Home Depot? Then says you need to open a Home Depot account?

There's something rotten in Denmark.
 
No personal info given out Elliot. I contacted HD own site and that seems to be the problem, someone was representing HD and it was a false site. I reported it and their official site is ok. None of our info was given. PJ

Glad to hear no personal info was given out! Does sound fishy. You just can't be too careful these days!
