Hi, I'm not sure where to post this so I thought I'd start here. I HATE throwing things in the trash, especially if there could be some usefulness for somebody. I've had this gear kicking around in my shop for at least 20 years, it was in a box full of miscellaneous Healey parts I bought on Ebay and I don't recognize it. I'm pretty sure it's not for a big Healey, but could it be for a Sprite or some other LBC?....or none of the above? The fact that it was sent along with Healey parts makes me think British. I don't want any money for it, I would love to give it to anyone who is willing to pay the postage.
Overall length 2.250" Overall diameter of gears 2.625"
30 tooth OD, 6 splined hole - major dia. 1.2", minor dia. 1"
Has recessed end with what looks like brass/copper synchro ring about 1.9" dia.
All dimensions given are approximate.
I appears to be brand new, never installed NOS, in near perfect shape and shows no signs of wear on gears or synchro.
So, can anyone help this poor gear find it's way home?
Thanks,
Dave
