Sounded so good off, he left it off.
 
I just watched a downloaded copy of the 2005 christmas episode of Top gear... They raced (hillclimb style - on part of a roadtrack) a bugeye against a tuner modded puegot 209. The bugeye sounded great, but I could hear more gear noise than exhaust.

I've seen this car, that guy was at the British Field Day last year in Salt Lake City, the guy was screaming around this little autocross course. Along with that bugeye there was also a TF, a few B's and spitfires that took to the course. Always fun to watch autocross.
 
Autocross is big time fun, spent years in hawaii in early and mid 60's doing that.
 
Is it just me or did he get off to a really slow start? Looks like he started in 2nd gear. Or maybe he's geared a lot higher than my MG?

Aye think he doged the start a bit. However he did have it in the right gear, 2ed is all that's needed for autocross and I think he did shift about 40 feet out of the hole, maybe.

Dam, just looked again, I wanta do that so bad.

Nooo, I think it sounds like just a bit over 7K in spots, never makes 7.5 and I been there.

Hay Doc, I heard that also. In two spots?? That's why I said 7k to 7.5K. Durn I would like to run him. hehe However that said second is a powerful gear and a bit of float beats shifting up and down for such a short track.
