Trunk Prop Stay

Can someone please post a pic of how the trunk stay is mounted on the trunk side? Am I missing something? I understand that there is a wood block and 2 sets of nuts and bolts that secures below to the wheel well in the lower trunk but how about the upper side? Thank you.(1956 100 BN2)

From my '56 BN2/100M (note the wood block should be about twice as wide and maybe a tad longer):

The upper 'tab' should be spot-welded on. Also, it should have the body number stamped on it; does this car's BMIHT cert match the other pertinent numbers?
 
Thank you for the pictures! My 100 isn't #'s matching. Do you know if this "tab" is available to purchase anywhere? Or do I have to fab one up myself?
 
I made one up quick at work today (made a cardboard templet last night). When I get home will see how well it fits, if I'm good to go I will weld it on and paint.

I ended up doing a perimeter weld to attach it. I tested it out before I painted it and it works great. I no longer have to use the golf club shaft that came with the car :smile: .

Nicely done again! Now all you have to do is stamp the body number on it!
 
Here's mine, works great, not expensive! Seriously, I have seen more than one Healey trunk kinked by someone inadvertently closing the boot while forgetting to release that support rod. My original prop rod was missing and I have gotten used to that PVC pipe.
