trunk lid T handle

I am stripping my 1966 sprite. I need to remove the T handle to get the remaining paint off and not sure how it comes off. I removed the two bolts that hold the latch assembly, but that's as far as I got. I need some assistance please.

There's two small nuts on studs. Slow and tedious process.

Don't worry if the studs turn rather than the nuts. It will come out either way.

You got that right, Trevor. It is even more fun putting them back.

Got the handle off with no issues. Putting it back on later should prove to be fun...lol
