Hi Guys, Do I attach the rubber seal to the lid or the rear shroud? And what do I use that will look asteticly pleasing?
Some type of black weather strip glue ? Thanks Bob

Attach to the lid. Get the correct seal from Moss, BCS, or whoever. Be sure to locate the thin cross section of the rubber toward the inboard side. The adhesive shouldn't show.

Hi Bob

When you will install it don't strecht the rubber at all let it take the form of the lid tunnel especialy in the curve and use contact ciment glue , it will work fine

Good luck

Bob,

The one that Moss sells is very good. Use the black colored 3M weatherstrip adhesive sold in any auto parts store to fasten it under the boot lid.

Yes, the Moss part work very well and looks good. Here's some more pictures.

I used contact cement on the boot and on the rubber. The first time I installed it was just before the restoration and I was able to remove the strip with contact cement remover and reuse the part. That would have harder with the 3M weather strip adhesive i.e. it's more permanent.

Cheers,
John
