Trunk Lid replacement

I have the opportunity to replace my '73 TR6 rusted trunk lid with a lid from a '70 model. Are they interchangeable? Is there anything I should be wary of other than the obvious, such as rust or structural damage? /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif

The boot lid is interchangeable as there were no modifications to it for the full production run.

Go for it. Roman is right. they're all the same for the 6

What great response. I am really glad I found this forum. I doesn't get much better than this. What a way to start the New Year - sitting here discussing one of my favorite pasttimes - my LBC, and watching Clint Eastwood movies. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cheers.gif

I checked the Moss and VictoriaBritish catalogs and they only list 1 part number for all years, so its a safe bet that you can use it.

Something you might think about...

I have considered getting a second boot lid for my TR3 to mount a luggage rack on. I rarely need one and don't like the idea of drilling into the lid I have, but a spare lid w/rack could be easily swapped on (on a TR3) for long road trips.

OTOH, some like the look of a rack for everyday.
