Trunk buffers for MKII

Millrat said:
It very well could have been. Whoever owned the car before us took libertys with what he cut holes in and how he "repaired" stuff. Multi colored striped indoor outdoor carpet and handtowels on the door panels...

On that not, a friend asked to help change his air filter in his civic (yes you read that right)...found a towel in there that it looks like the previous owner used to wipe the dip stick...once we tool it out his mpg increased significantly...long story short I don't trust anything a previous owner did, ever.

I installed them on my mkII with a seal from Moss and didn't have to butcher anything. They went right in.

The seal that is being offered now has a bulb that is considerably larger than the original and I had to do quite a bit of fudging on my MK2 midget to get the trunk to close properly with the buffers in place. On a driver I just filled the holes with RTV.

Kurt.
