Trunion question

So this may be a stupid question, but here goes: Can the trunion be removed from the verticle steering arm without dismantling the entire stubaxle? I keep reading all my references, which say to "unscrew" the assembly. I see in the diagrams the there are threads in the interior of the trunion, but even if I remove the stop, there is not enough clearance from the rear of the disc to spin the trunion. Am I missin' something here?

Also, what type of lubricant are you guys using? Any good/bad experiences?

Any uplifting advice?

thanks,

You must take off the upper control arms and remove the spindle from the Knuckle, then you can unscrew it up out of the trunion. Be advised you can clean it up and re-thread it down into the trunion one more turn in many cases, this gives you a much tighter assy when done and as long as the critter doesnt bind at the extreme part of its rotation, you have saved time and money!!
