My son has picked up that Personal AntiVirus trojan horse on his computer. Where can I find a good trojan horse remover? Free would be great, but it MUST be trusted.

They should be called Cassandra or maybe Laocoön:

Quote:] The priest Laocoön guessed the plot and warned the Trojans, in Virgil's famous line "Timeo Danaos et dona ferentes" (Do not trust Greeks bearing gifts), but the god Athena sent two sea serpents to strangle him, and his sons Antiphantes and Thymbraeus, before he could be believed. King Priam's daughter Cassandra, the soothsayer of Troy, insisted that the horse would be the downfall of the city and its royal family but she too was ignored, hence their doom and loss of the war.

And do a "free scan" called House Call on the Trend Micro website.

Run MalwareBytes once a week. Just for drill.

I run Trend Micro Doc, on three computers and love it! Amazing what that program will catch!

Just about anything out there. I ran MB three times on one of my lawyer client's machines yesterday, it came up clear after the third pass, allowed me 'net access, ran Trend's House Call and found TEN MORE issues.

GREAT stuff.

There are some of us that make a living thanks to M$ having all these issues. Besides, setting up a Linux box can be rather challenging to the uninitiated (like me)

Oh, I agree with Doc about the Trend Micro. I use them always when I go to check customers computers.
