If you'll note the number of posts for the Triumph Forum, it appears that they spend WAY too much time talking about their Triumphs and not driving them... Hummmm, I wonder... /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/devilgrin.gif
I own both a Triumph and a MG. To start a good round of give and take, I'll state that a stock TR4 will out run and out handle a stock MGB. I like both cars for different reasons. But if I had to give one up it would be the MG. Mike
I currently own two MGs and an AH 100-6...and have owned many others over the years... Like you, I like them for different reasons... I have never owned a Triumph...
Although, a TR3 is on my list of next projects....
A friendly jab here and there is always fun... as long as it's between LBC affectionados... /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

Out-run definitely. Out handle, no, unless you are talking about one of those horrid Marina convertibles (aka RBB). The early MGB will outhandle a TR4 without much trouble. We see it all the time on the track and I've never had a TR handle anywhere near as well as my racing MGA (or brake as well but then I use 4 wheel discs).
It is easier to give an MG more power than it is to give a TR superior handling - and I say that having owned and raced both (probably a dozen TRs and many more MGs)
