Just in from a 1037 mile lap around the Southwest that included the 2007 Triumphest.

Had a great time and of course enjoyed meeting lots of Triumph owners and seeing their cars.

It was announced that the 2009 VTR will be in San Luis Obispo (in October so we don't have to cross the Mojave Desert in July!). Hope to see many of you there.

Maybe in 2009. A little more in my neck of the
woods.

Daughter took ill this year; plus our local club
had something going.

I couldn't make either this year, but 2009 sounds
like plenty of time to plan.

Thanks for the pictures. Musta been fun.

Are these all held on the west coast or western states?

Triumphest is rotated among the 5 TR clubs of the Far West: Southern California, another Southern California, San Diego, Phoenix & the Bay Area.

Triumphest is held in October, which can still be darn hot if you're inland (e.g. Riverside, Laughlin, etc). VTR will move from July to October for 2009 (they will essentially combine the Triumphest & VTR) but that location -- San Luis Obispo -- should be delightful that time of year.

Not to mention that the Triumph Trans AmeriCan Charity Drive 2009 will end up at Triumphest 2009 and raffle off the completely restored Stag being driven by John Macartney.
