TR4/4A Triumph TR4 Body Restorer Chicago Area

Hi All

I'm new to the forum and just bought a stock 1963 TR4 which I'm in the middle of teardown for a complete body off restoration. I will do all the mechanicals but does anyone know of a good recommendation for the body work in the Chicago area ? I have all the fenders off and next step is to pull the body off and send to Redi-Strip but after that I'd like to send it to the body shop after that. It has a lot of problems in sill area and top of fenders and wheel wells.

Many thanks,

JB

Not in the Chicagoland area so can't answer your question -- but welcome to the forum and the joys of Triumph ownership!

There are a couple of us there.
Also post it in the other forums as a LBC is an LBC

Welcome JB!
First thing you want to do is join ISOA, the local Triumph collectors club. Find our website at www.snic-braaapp.org. Meetings are held monthly, and members own all different models of TRiumphs -- some don't have a car but are interested, so we're not picky. Several members own TR-4s, and there is a wealth of knowledge generously shared by everyone. Winter is a great time to get involved, as we hold monthly hands-on repair clinics on many different important topics.
