My office at work needs a facelift and I was thinking it might be cool to put up a bunch of Triumph posters. I have searched the web and come across a few that were nice, but I was wondering if anyone knew of a particular place to get this type of item.
moss has that 50 years of triumph history poster too.
Doesn't look like there is much stuff out there. Looks like ebay gets a few that pop up. I did find a couple of 5x7 postcards a few years back of early TR ads. You might have more luck with framing ads from magazines... there's a huge market of stuff like that out there:
I noticed some neat Triumph illustrations in David Kyte's work. But there is just a small sampling from each of the artists and you might inquire/email anyone who's style you like, if you don't see a picture of a TR3.
As I see it, this is an opportunity to encourage and support other BCF members/LBC enthusiasts, and maybe to get a nice, unique piece of artwork at the same time.
Have you considered taking a picture of your Triumph and having it enlarged? I shot a couple of rolls of my TR6, selected the picture I liked the most and had a 20X30 print made. The print was about $25. I bought a poster frame at Wally World. It looks great. I'll probably shoot again when the leaves start to turn and the sky is more blue.
There is a couple in the local club who have a TR3. He's the original owner. They had it restored a few years ago. If you're interested and if I can get them to let me shoot their car I should be able to get some very nice pictures.
A lot depends on the quality of your equipment. Mine is old, but top quality.
Great suggestions everyone. Thanks for your help. I may do a combination. Some posters with a framed print of my own in the center. I'll let you know what I do.
The sizes on these have been reduced to make them more web friendly; however, I have higher resolution versions of all of them that I've successfully had printed at 18" x 24" on slick paper by a local plotting/printing service. They look nice when framed and hung on the wall.
If you're interested, pick out a few of them, and I'd be happy to e-mail the full resolution versions to you.
