Do they have the same "aluminum plug" that the TR3 heads have? A friend with a GT6 says he is losing coolant but there is no evidence of leakage under the car nor is there that milky sludge in the oil that would indicate a blown head gasket.
 
Your friend has a Spitfire motor in his GT6 ??
