How do I tighten the exhaust manifold nuts that I can barely get too? Triumph Spitfire 1500. The two clamps that attach the inlet and exhaust.

You take all your tools and go play with them until you find the particular combination that works. I frequently use one of my open end spanner, facing almost straight in, and a screwdriver across the opposite end to twist with.
 
I have had luck using a 9/16" crowsfoot wrench on the end of a socket extension.
 
I normally get a shorty wrench in there and turn it a 1\16 of a turn, flip the wrench 1\16 of a turn, flip the wrench you get the picture. 4 hours later one bolt is tight or removed.
 
box end crows foot on a swivel with a 10 inch extension.
 
Getting those nuts on is not too bad, getting them off when they are frozen or rusted is a bear.

Try one of these obstruction wrenches (9/16" as I recall?). I use these and just work at it bit by bit.

S-shaped wrenches may give you some wiggle room also, but I haven't tried them.
