Now i'm really confused... My tr4a was originally white, but i've owned 8or9 white cars in the last 15 years, my current truck is white the wifes minivan is white and so I decided to paint the tr red with tan interior but after reading I'm thinking about BRG again.does anybody have any pics of a british racing green tr4a?

I had a BRG or rather TRG (I think the official name of the color was Triumph Racing Green) TR4A, anyway it is a really nice color and a 4A looks great in it, looks good with the black interior and wood dash. It is also a nice medium dark green, some of the other BL greens are either a little too dark or rather light, all a matter of taste, but all BRGs are not created equal, so do your homework when you pick the color.
Unfortunately the car was owned before digital cameras were as common as cocroaches so if I wanted to post I pic of it I would have to find the pics, scan the pics, upload the pics, post the pics, although it wouldn't take appreciably longer than it took me to type all this I would have to get up a move around and look for things and remember how to do things like scan pictures that I haven't done for a while, so too lazy to be that much help.
I bet if you google a TR4A you could find a few pics though.

Close - 1969 Olds Toronado. It was my parents first brand new car and the car that I inherited when I started driving until I got the TR4A my senior year. I also drove it for the 2-3 years that it took to restore the TR4A a few years later.
2 door coupe with a 455 and front wheel drive. Big vehicle that got about 8 miles per gallon in the city (on a good tank)! Perfect car for a teenager and broke person in his early 20's.

Fond memories of many family summer trips in that car with the 3 kids in the back seat and since front wheel drive and no floor hump, I'd sleep on the floor in the back.
Had a pretty cool rolling-drum speedometer.
And apparently I inherited not getting rid of vehicles from my parents so if you know anyone that needs a Toronado parts car....

Here is a photo of my partner's TR3B.
I am an MG guy. Personally, I am tired of the ubiquitous red and white TR3s. Have you considered BRG? (Of course, you have to pick one of the 10-or-so shades of BRG.) Or how about the original Triumph Primrose Yellow or Powder Blue?
Good luck with what you decide - it will be a beautiful car regardless of what color you paint it.

Ten or so? I think Triumph alone had almost that many shades of "Racing Green"! In all honesty, it appears that pretty much any green that appeared on a British "racing" car was called "British Racing Green" at one time or another, and they have ranged from very pale greens to almost black!MGA75002 said:
