Post-War Other Triumph roadster 2000

Hello,
I mean to buy a Triumph Roadster 2000 on which are some jobs to do. I should like to take this Opportunity to change it from RHD to LHD.
Has somedody still do that, or do you know how to manage and what is to be modified.

Welcome! I am a TR4A owner, and know you can switch from LH to RHD pretty easily (new dashboard and steering rack, I believe). Not sure sure about the 2000... beautiful car, regardless!!
 
Bernard, there were some from the factory, but few and far between.
The few that I have seen that were converted to rack and pinion steering with floor shift TR2-4 gear boxes and master cylinders mounted in the battery box.
The gear cluster on the column would be a engineering marvel to get working as the shift axles are on the wrong side for this.

Utill now, I just see two LHD withgear cluster on the column, but I think it was made in the factory for US market.
 
Bernard, Just as information, I've had this one in the US since 1973 and haven't had any problem with the wheel being on the right side. In the case of passing, I'm generally the passe'. The 455 rear keeps you off the Freeway's.
 
Reportedly there were about 30 LHD 2000s made. That of course makes them extremely rare today.

I've driven RHD cars in the U.S. and everything was fine... but I've found being the passenger in one can be rather disconcerting.

The only problem I've encountered was the other way round, driving RHD in the UK. Everything was hunky dory until I filled it with gas, went inside to pay, and then hopped into the passenger seat. (Another gas customer told me I should have adjusted the passenger side mirror before I got out and walked around).
