Happy Friday guys. Looking forward to some warmer weather this weekend!

I've been meaning to post this for awhile and just remembered to do so. My uncle is an accomplished painter who also happens to be a motorhead (has an original mini at the moment). Anyway, a couple months ago he surprised me with a painting he did from a picture of me and my car that my wife had sent him. This web image doesn't really do it justice, but in person it's awesome. He's really good at capturing vehicles with his brush.

I think something like this would make a perfect gift for a car nut (ie- pester your significant others about this before your birthday or next christmas!). He told me that he would happily do custom car paintings for fellow motorheads. If any of you are interested in his services, let me know.

Here is the painting:

Very nice indeed.

I suppose he could also take out dents, drop 50 lbs from the driver, remove ex-wives from the picture, etc.

I especially like the dog being included.

Very very nice. Like a modern day Napoleon with his horse, and dog in this case.

What size approximately and what costs? Oil?

Thanks,
Jim Lee

I have a section here on the forum to showcase member art. If you have some pictures of other car paintings I could make a section for him in our members art area. (See the link in the boxes on the left side when viewing the forums list page)

Great picture...

Color me impressed.

I don't think there is a market for stick people and their cars so your uncle has no competition from me...

I have a pic I really would like painted. My daughter recently lost her dog she has had since she was 1. She is almost 16 now so they were inseperable. The dog slept in her room ever night. I would really like to get the pic I have painted for her for her B day, price dependant. How do we get a quote for a small pic?

Size on this is about 20" x 30". He does them in oil. I'm not sure about costs, but you can contact him here with any inquiries, his name is Dennis: rc2medic1 (at) sbcglobal.net

I'll see if I can get a rough idea on prices from him for you guys.

Cheers,
Gavin
