Does anyone have any idea where I can get something in chrome that spells Triumph (about 1 ft. long) to put on the trunk of my car

Jiri -- looks like your TR3A has the 3-color bonnet badge (bar at the bottom is black?). These seem to appear on some early-59s with commission numbers around 40000 to 48000. Is yours in this range? Just curious.

Geo,
Interesting... my badge does have the black bar at the bottom, it is early-mid 59 (built 5 May 59 per the heritage certificate), but the commission number is in 51000's. I can't be sure the badge is original, though (the cheap blue paint job certainly isn't).

What are the later badges like?

Your badge is most likely original... I was guessing at the range based on ones I had seen with the black bar. 51000 isn't far from the range I had in mind as Triumph skipped from around 48000 to 50001 when they made some significant changes (e.g. starter & bellhousing).

Most post-1958 TR3A badges had a blue bar at the bottom.

I would like to have Triumph spelled out in Cursive

To the best of my knowledge Triumph never used cursive script. Even the motorcycle logo which has a more flowing design is basically block letters.

I do have a Bandai TR3 (tin toy) with a cursive Triumph logo -- looks rather unnatural.
