General TR Triumph Dealer Sign Nostalgia

Haven't been to this spot in a good number of years, but a friend was down that way and took these two photos of this Triumph dealer sign that I know has been there since at least 1967 (at least I think that was my first time stopping there). The building is still there too. It had to be one of the smallest Triumph dealers in the country. Sign still looks in remarkably good condition. It's located in Rossville, Pa at the intersection of PA routes 74 and 177. Thought some here would find it an interesting sight.

Me too, Tush. What do you think it's worth? Seems a shame it's sitting there on an apparently lot.
Small dealerships were not uncommon 50 or more years ago. There was a guy in my hometown, Concord, NH who had the MG dealership on his front lawn. He carried several other marques over the years, all foreign.

It’s about 40 miles from my house.

Just a guess, but I’d say it would be worth around $5000 bucks (2500 per sign). I’ve seen single panel signs (incomplete) go for about $1000-1200. Who knows. I guess it’s worth what someone would be willing to pay for it

What’s your guess Tom?

I don't know but probably quite rare and if one of the big time car collectors decided it would look good in his Triumph room, the sky is the limit. An ordinary hobbyist like me could by a lot of Triumph parts for 5k. I guess I'd also be afraid to tack it on my garage at that price. Actually I'm quite surprised it's lased this long and it wold be good if somebody did purchase it while it's still there.

What appears to be a hornets nest hanging off the left side looks inviting!
