Hi All,
Great to be a new member here! Triumph Sports cars are in my DNA. I was born in the 50's and my father owned a Triumph Dealership until the early 60's. Both Mom and Dad were active in Rallying and charter members of Cascade Sports Car Club. I grew up in an apple box on the rear bench of a TR3 and attended umpteen early road race at was once called Delta Park but later became Portland International Raceway. I grew up around TR2s,3s and 4s, not to mention Mom drove quite a few varieties of TR10s and Heralds. My first car was a Hillman Minx, but when I was a Junior in High School, 1972, I bought a 57 TR3 from the original owner. It was one of the great loves of my life that I worked on and restored to a be great specimen until I sold it 19yrs later. Fast forward to three years ago, I had the desire to get another Triumph as a fun weekend car. I found a beautifully restored 72 TR6. The car is a driver and in lovely shape. Engine and all componets rebuilt and spotless engine bay. Great interior and nice clean Trunk. Soft top less than perfect but definitely serviceable! Look forward to learning posting and sharing!!

Hello Holzie

Welcome to the forum

You will find the Triumph section is very active so you are sure to get plenty of tips and advice there for your TR6.

Do you have any photos from the Triumph dealership days? If you do I am sure they would be of interest to the Triumph section and maybe the Pub section where almost anything comes up for discussion.

No photos of the dealership. I do have a lot of vintage posters for Rally and Races conducted by Cascade Sports Car Club and SCCA from early 60's which may be of interest. Here's a photo of car races at Madras Airport in Eastern Oregon. It was popular to run car races in smaller town municipal airports. My Dad is in the center with the driver cap and his white TR3. From the days of drive your car to the race, race it and drive it home!
