What year (or commision number) did the TR 3 Apron Emblem go from a red and black scheme to a blue and black scheme?
 
Hey Glenn -

If memory serves, your badge, like all TR2's and 3's, should be red and black, with "Triumph" on the bottom. Early TR3A's were red and black, but without "Triumph", as the individual letters were on the apron. Later 3A's and 3B's were blue and white.

According to the Moss catalog, the change to blue and white happened at TS41874.

Though somewhere in the 40000's a number of cars were produced with a blue/white/black emblem... the black portions being the "TR3" and the bottom bar.

Even Piggott isn't sure about when, why or how many.
