TR2/3/3A Triumph age

If you want an exact date, you should contact British Motor Heritage Trust. > British Motor Museum | Heritage Certificates <

But according to the TR3 "Bible", written by Bill Piggott, your car was probably built sometime in the late summer/early fall of 1960.

With the Piggott book....July/August of 1960 Was the build month.
A build sheet will tell you exact information.

My guess is a 1961. They only made like 400 or so in 1961 and the rest after that were tr3Bs, so the last run should be clear by subtracting the last vin made from yours.

Likely - here's one currently on eBay - TS78909L. Still, best bet for actual build date is the BMIHT certificate. Also gives details on equipment, color and trim supplied.
