Could they have meant "slurry top"?

Does that mean that my TR6 will do 200?
There's a 2000 here,for free,that I can't seem
to get anyone interested in.

There is only one way that vehicle would do 140.

If you modified a 427 AC Cobra into a tow truck and towed it at 140MPH.
But, you'll need a roll of 140MPH tape to hold them doors shut.

ISTR Kas Kastner was clocked at considerably more than 140 in his 2000 sedan.

Of course it also had a modified TR6 motor, supposedly producing over 200hp at the flywheel. On ZS carbs! (He pronounced the Lucas fuel injection 'useless' for tuning.) Probably a few other changes as well

One of the local paint & body shops has a photo hanging on the wall, of a Triumph 2000 just leaving the lights at a drag strip (presumably Pomona). Doesn't look like Kas' car, but they don't know anything about it.
