Triple Stromberg throttle linkage

Did I read a post on this forum about a throttle linkage kit for the triple Stromberg set-up that is an IMPROVEMENT over the stock/Goodparts one?
OR was I just dreaming? /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/crazyeyes.gif
Thanks, GT Ross /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/canpatriot.GIF

I did see a linkage article too, but can't find it right now. I'll keep looking and perhaps someone else will remember in the interim.

Bill, did you post that article or reference?

ratco make it.
they are sponsors here.
wait 2 weeks and i'll post pics of it.
or i think tr6bill has it on already. you might prevail on him...

See, I knew Bill was at the bottom of this........

There's pics at Ab's website ...the guy who developed the cable set-up.

I'd LOVE to see 'em /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/eek.gif

If Shannon didn't feel good about it, you'd hear that side as well. When he says he loves something, it must be pretty decent.

With the old linkage, I never liked it to begin with... lots of slop and it just looks like it wants to break.

The Ratco version is very solid and for the first time, I have 100% of my throttle with the triple ZS setup. I did have to trim the mounting bracket because it interfered with a cooling hose, but other than that the install went well.

Here's a couple pics of the kit and the finished product:

Thanks for the pics /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbsup.gif. I think I may order me up one of those.
And now for a completely different topic:
How do you like your Focus SVT? I've been searching for one (gotta be a four....I mean FIVE door though) to replace my Contour SVT, which is a very fun car to drive. I took one for a ride a year ago, and really liked the way it drove on the highway, but didn't move on it. I didn't know they would be so few and far between in the Auto Trader...... /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/nopity.gif
Thanks /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cheers.gif

All it takes is a little bending of the shaft to make the stock work fine.....

I must have had that linkage off 6 times; Bending and adjusting...I could never make it work well. I could never get 100% throttle and it always had a lot of slop.

The Ratco setup cured all of that. Bill (TR6Bill) had the same problems.

Roger that. The Ratco (Ab's) cable does the trick.
