We just returned from a few weeks out west (CO,UT,NV,CA,ID). The trip was a little more eventful than we'd planned since we started off by having car trouble. We took our ancient 4-Runner out of storage in Moab and arrived in Grand Junction CO with lots of vibration and noise and a leaking water pump. I called a few shops who said they could help in a week or so but then I found these guys. They said they were full up with work but they'd be willing to take a quick look.

Within 24 hours we had 2 new U-joints and a water pump installed. They all said they'd "been there" & knew what it's like to be stranded. The owner discounted the price nicely and threw in a tee-shirt! Awesome service and a fascinating place to boot.

Anyway, my wife treated us to a Zeppelin ride and we spent a few days in San Francisco. Saw relatives & friends there and in northern CA and spent a week with friends in Boise ID where I'd never been. Broke even in some casino in Winnemucka (sp?) NV and mostly drove the rest of the time. We stopped briefly at the Bonneville flats.

No car related stuff this time. We saw a Bugeye tooling down the highway in Boise (maybe a BCF member?), a Model A about the same time, and several old Porsches in SF.

Totally unrelated except for location: Does anyone know what this is? I expect at least one BCF personage knows...
