TR2/3/3A Tring to find odd TR3 parts again

Any help finding these parts would be a great help. None of the big three have them or the vendors that sell harnesses. I need two of each. One is a double bullet ground connector found behind the horns on each side. The other is two pipe clips the hold the fuel line coming out of the tank to the floor of the car.

On mine there are two clips but they hold the fuel line to the frame rail, not the body. Maybe the same clip you mean but in a different spot? I can get you a pic if need be (a funny wiggly shape).

I did not see them at Britishwire. I like the idea of making them from old lights. I would like to have them made out of copper as original. The fuel line clips are not the same as the one's on the frame, heck I have a bunch of them. They kind of look like the round compression fuel line clamps.

I made them from a bulb base that was (I think) nickel plated brass which looked to me to match the one that was original.

The fuel line clips... kind of look like the round compression fuel line clamps.

Oh, so that's what's in the background in the first photo. Looks a lot like the clip that holds the radiator overflow tube to the RF inner wing. Seems like someone has those.

None of my originals were copper. Not sure exactly what they were, but the appearance was much closer to Geo's photos (shiny white rather than dull copper colored, smaller center hole) and the clips are much springier than copper is.

They need a certain amount of spring to make a good lasting connection.

Those circular pipe clips have never been available. They also hold the rear brake pipe down on top of the frame after it leaves the multi way union near the RH wheel arch.

If memory serves me correctly, "TR Tags" located a supply of these somewhere in the US when rebuilding his 3A.

The W spring clips that hold the fuel lines to the frame are factory p/n 059191 or Moss Motors p/n 589-070.

Tr this page about half way down, right hand side - ss grounding clip. For 4 bucks it's not worth fiddling with.

Yep, that is Frank, but I don't recall that he found those round clips - if so I'd like to know as well!

I think one or more of those clips holds the radiator overflow tube to the inner fenderwell as well - can anyone confirm?

I've had success getting some odd bits from BRESCO
I looked briefly, and it looks like they have the hose clips HERE

Randy the clip that holds the overflow tube is the same as the fuel line clips.

My originals lasted over 40 years and were still making good contact just before they broke. Pretty darn good, I'd say.

Maybe it's just me, but it seems silly to replace with something of lesser quality than original.

If you look at the pics of mine (both original and homemade) and compare them to the new ones on offer -- you'll see that in addition to the color and the metal used there is also a 'dimple' midway in the receiving tube.

This dimple catches the depression on the bullet to help secure it in the connection. In addition, the metal from the bulb base I used to make mine had enough springiness to assure a good ground.

I am pleased that British Wiring is offering a version when there seems to be no alternative for sale, but I think a more original version can be fashioned sitting at the kitchen table.

On the unobtainium circular clip - it's Frank. I think he found someone who made up a batch, but it's a while back.

I've never seen a listing either for the clips Mallard originally enquired about that fix the fuel pipe to the rear floor. All I know is they were factory part CD.25568, which came with a plain washer, split washer and a nut, up to TS60000. Thereafter when the tank outlet was relocated, those clips became 119868.

They show as being on page 60 of the complete TR2-3 spare parts catalogue, but I've only got the abbreviated reprint version.

If you are referring to this clip, no we never found them. I had been told that John Warfield (TRA) was having some produced, and I just sent him a note to inquire. For the Grey Lady, we ended up making a few from stainless tube. Sort of crude, but did the job.
