Hi all-
My LH front wing is almost beyond repair. A DPO used a ball peen hammer, a body puller, and slapped on a patch after a wreck. And that was before all the bondo. Easily more than 10-hrs work, so replacement is an option.

Does anyone have experience with TRF’s front wing fit up? I’m close enough to them that I could drive up and get it in a day. Moss’s are special order only.

Have no experience with the full wings but the repair panel I got seemed better than the one the PO had purchased a while ago.

Did you notice that TRF seems to have 2 different types of front wings? Claim that the they are better quality than the old type. If you can get up there it would be worth putting your hands on one to see what the quality looks like. I gather even original Triumph panels required some fitting.

Interesting David but I find only one option on the page. (I've never been very good at navigating TRFs catalogs) I do think that TRF sometimes uses different suppliers than the other big names and as an example got their inner sill re-tooled to fit a whole lot better that the ones available a few years ago. I wonder if the others have followed their lead. I've never held any of the wing repair panels in very high esteem and since Jim is doing crash damage it seems more likely he is doing the front part. Good used front sections are fairly easy to find and a good welder (perhaps not so easy to find) can join the two.

I had not checked out the page very carefully but I see what you mean about the page. The illustrations have 2 numbers but the list does not match??

If I lived closer and needed a wing I would go by and check for myself. It is a long drive from Georgia.

Jim if it is still available, look at CJD post on front wings. He takes them apart into 3 pieces. I found that very helpful!
 
Thanks all. Ended up ordering the “better quality” wing which was on sale (or might have been their normal “your price”). Will let you know how much more work is needed to fit it, and will post a pic of the old one. Jim
