Transporting gas tank

I'm heading into the city tomorrow for a meeting, and want to stop by the recommended radiator shop to drop off my radiator and gas tank for cleaning and such. Any special precautions for transporting the tank? It's been out of the Tunebug for a few days.

My driver is a standard hatchback, and the tank will have to sit in it for a few hours.
 
I cleaned a filthy Morris gas tank by filling it with water and setting on the BBQ over a full load of charcoal. A couple of hours later it looked very clean inside. And, the bottom of the tank had a nice whiff of charred BBQ sauce!

Seriously, thats what the rad shop will do, so why pay for it unless you don't have a BBQ. It also puts the neighbors on notice that they live next to a looney. They hardly batted an eye when I BBQed a flywheel the next year.

No special stuff, put the cap on and plug the line connection with a bit of tape. Do not smoke in the car, hehe.
 
Toss it in the bed of your pickup!
