I have purchased a transponder but haven't been able to find any information on where is the best place to mount it.Any suggestions?

Thanks Glenn

Check with your racing club. Some have mandatory areas where to mount, preferably close to the front. Try a subframe or some sheet metal that has an exposed area to the track. I mounted mine in a Cooper S to the rear of the front subframe in a protected area well exposed to the track, about 1 1/2' from the bumber.

On my Bugeye, I mounted it to the right side Radiator upright mount with zip ties. From there it sees the track surface and is pretty far forward.

Make it turn on with the master so you won't forget (assuming you got a hard wired one)

Otherwise not over 12" from the track and forward (I won over a competitor by .001 second once)

We had to send 2 back that were defective so keep your receipt.
(AMB replaced them no questions asked)
