Transmission removal question

I just bought an overdrive transmission for my 73. I will have it installed in a couple of weeks. I just can't find my Haynes manual so here is my question:

Can the MGB transmission be removed from the car with the engine in place?

I am also looking for a 75-76 speedo because the tranny I bought is a blue label. If not a new speedo, anybody knows a place to have it recalibrated?

Thanks

1. No. the only way to get the tranny out of a "B" is to pull it with the motor. There is a perminant crossmember that makes it impossible (unless you want to cut it out and make it a bolt in piece... I really woulden't reccomend doing that.)
2. not sure who does recalibrations, but I've heard that there are a few places that do. Somebody here has gotta know someone. sorry, no extra speedos on hand.
