TR6 Transmission Oil Capacity on a non OD TR-6

Does anyone know the oil capacity on a non overdrive 1974 TR-6? I haven't been able to find GL-4 oil locally, and would like to order it from TRF today while their half-price shipping sale is still on. Thanks for your help.

I think it is about 5 pints. Just order 2 quarts and you are safe. Better yet, order 3 quarts and you have some to replace as it drips out over the years.

According to Triumph Repair Operation Manual, 2.4 U.S. pints from dry.

And just what are you doing with an injection engine without an overdrive?

I have kept up with your posts and the injection system is cool. And pricey. Maybe that is why you don't have overdrive yet....

Whoops. I forgot mine is overdrive. I run straight non-detergent 30 wt Valvoline motor oil.

Thanks for your help guys. Here goes another order to TRF...
