TR6 Transmission keeps getting stuck.

What position is your gearshift currently in, and can you move it into any gear at all? Can you wobble the gearshift sideways in neutral?

Yes, a clutch problem. Could be a broken pin on the forks or slave or master cylinder problem or a combination, have you had the car long enough to have replaced the clutch before? Seems I remember a similar problem happening and what I did was push the clutch pedal down a couple pumps when it happened, like I was pumping bad brakes and the pressure raised and was more focused on the clutch and freed the shifting. Indicating to me my problem was in the clutch.

On a 6 these symptoms are clutch issues. You must pull the tranny to refresh the fork and pin
also the bushings on the bellhousing are shot. I recommend drilling the end of the X shaft to accept
a grease fitting on the drivers side and adding an adjustable release rod from the early cars.
You may as well do a clutch /throwout too.....

+1 on the fork shaft pin shearing. If you are certain that the system is bled well, feels firm, and is adjusted, then the next most likely is the fork pin. Normally you will see this as a large amount of play when you go to adjust the linkage between the slave and clutch lever.

One note...the pin doesn't fail completely, but rather gets a spiral shear that wedges against the shaft, so the clutch still works...partially. A temporary fix is to remove the return spring on the clutch lever by the slave cylinder. This allows the master to pump more fluid into the system and possibly delay repair. Some on the forum removed the spring and were able to drive for years with a broken pin.
