What's the case of an MGB transmission made of?

With very sharp edges. :smirk:

Aluminum is high right now! I've got almost 2 dozen extra transmissions...I thought it was some type alloy though....however, if it is aluminum, think I might disassemble a bunch of them & sell the cases!

I've also got a couple of old aluminum V8 blocks & several aluminum intake manifolds for them....

Tony,

Sooo, now you're in the airplane/aluminum(aluminium)can business???

I took 22lbs of old soda cans down to the recycler today - WOW!! Got me thinking....you can't give MGB transmisions away so maybe I'll sell the cases if they're aluminum.

Got any overdrives in there Tony?
