I have just done a complete rebuild on my 71's
engine, but now I have another problem. I have the car up on four jackstands in the garage right now, and when I start the car in nuetral, the right rear wheel spins. I checked repeatedly and the car is definitely in nuetral, as far as the shifter goes anyway.

I have a buddy who has rebuilt several old Ford trucks and he thinks its a clutch problem. I fear it is a tranny problem. Is there any way to adjust the clutch on one of these things?

What do you think, am I having a clutch problem or is the tranny having problems?

Any help is greatly appreciated.

If its spinning very slow carfully put a old broom handle against it and see if it stops. Its probably just friction from the mainshaft in the trans turning and working its way to the wheel. Probably not a problem. keep us posted.. bob
 
Can you set the handbrake?

I'm with Bob. It'll most likely be just the residual mainshaft friction.
 
I had the same problem and with handbrake applied all was well.

I agree with bobndoc.
