While sandblasting and repainting my suspension components I noticed a 2+ inch crack in one of my trailing arm mounting brackets. The crack was obviously not evident underneath 30 years of gunk nor after sandblasting, it showed itself with a fresh coat of paint. It had originated at one of the bolt holes, needless to say this is going in the trash. Check those brackets closely with your next maintenance.
