So, on the way home this afternoon, I looked at 2 enclosed trailers.... one was way too big at 8-1/2'x20'....the other was a nice size: 6-1/2'x 15-1/2 (inside dimensions)...electric brakes on both axles, plywood floors & walls, side entrance up at the front, rounded front....I only want it to move my '53 TD & my '63 Midget.

What do you guys think about that size?

Should be okay if you push or winch the cars in. Mine at 7.5 is a little tight to get in and out of. Try to find a all aluminium trailer they are the best.

I think you should drive them Tony.
Not across country to shows, chuck!
Plus, this one's a 2005 Geronimo that the guy's asking $3,900 for...but he said for me to make an offer....

Tony

Go for a V nose cheaper on gas and aluminium easy to pull. mine is used for snowmobiles in the winter, cars in the summer. Over all its 7.5 wide outside 16ft to the vee then 3ft vee. I can fit my big Healey in or Sprite.

I don't know what the outside or framework of the one I'm interested in is made of....

What are you pulling it with? You might want to consider the 20' model...that extra space up front comes in handy for a winch, luggage, etc.

My full-size Dodge truck with the 5.9L V8.....20'- er is just way too long for me.

You mention trailer to someone in Louisiana and FEMA comes to mind.

That 20 footer would haul the TD and the Midget at the same time! The 15 footer should be plenty. And with the pickup being the tow vehicle, you can put all the gear in the bed.

We bought a enclosed motorcycle trailer for Agatha, my 100-M. The trailer is 7X15 with a prow (V)front and is a Haulmark motorcycle trailer. Husband set up a winch and moved the motorcycle tire holders (not sure that's what they are called) to accomodate Agatha's tires. The only problem we had was when backing out of the trailer the muffler caught on the flange and now muffler has a crease. Husband solved this problem by just adding more screws to securely fasten the flange. Also added a catch net and tie'downs for the prow front for storage (tire, generator compressor, etc.) I'm impressed and yep - I drove Agatha in and out! We'll be trailering Agatha to the Healey Conclave in San Diego and I really couldn't work up the courage to drive thru the desert in late June.

P.S. We're using our Envoy to pull the trailer and we've had no problems so far...

Bought this from Cargo South out of Ocilla, Ga. Tony. The price was very reasonable. Couldn't see paying a lot for something that sets most of the year. It's 16 x 7.5, ramp rear door, side door, four wheel brakes and nicely balanced. Dorsey Trailers out of Savanna sells them. There might be a dealer up your way. PJ

That Dorsey looks lke the one I'm considering - just different brand name.

...Yea, I got one JUST big enough for the Healey, 14 feet insde and just 5.5 feet tall, wanted to keep the windage down.
Top has to be down to get out of the car!

 Well Tiga, looks like our Haulmark. I drive Agatha in and out but will feel better when hubby installs the electric winch. This will be my back-up (no pun intended) courage. I can't say that I am not without concern when bringing in and taking out the M. You are correct, no top up. I have no problem getting in and out but then I'm 5' (actually 4 11 1/2) but hubby's 6'2" frame doesn't stand a chance.

As a P.S. will you be going to San Diego the end of june?

....Yes, still going to SD, I will be dropping my wife off at ABQ on the evening if the 25th, she is flying out and I will be going to Cars & Coffee in Irvine Sat AM, then down to SD.
Probably sleep in the trailer to help defray gas costs!

Looking foward to meeting you !!
