I have 1960 3000 Mk I. It keeps blowing the 35a/17a fuse. My turn switch/horn assy is loose in a Moto-Lita steering wheel. I tried pulling it out to see how I could tighten it, but I don't see how to do it.

Any ideas how to fix the assy? And now the fuse keeps blowing - any ideas why?

Rick, do you have an adjustable steering wheel? If so, the control head is held to the steering wheel boss with three set screws. If you remove the three screws, you should be able to pull the control head out a fair bit, depending on the condition of the wiring. The control head is mounted to the short stator. The other end of the short stator has thee ears/bumps that ride in the slot cut into the long stator. The long stator is attached to the steering box at the front of the box - brass nut and olive. If everything is okay, the long stator is clamped so it doesn't rotate and the slot/ears prevent the short stator from rotating. If you find the control head rotating, the it may mean that the slot in the long stator tube has failed.
