Trafficator and Wiring Completed-Pics

Over the weekend the overhauled trafficator was installed and connected to the new wire harness.

Nice steering wheel dude. Looking great!! Did you get it to cancel well in both directions?

Yep. Cancels fine in both directions.

I had seen trafficators installed with these particular steering wheels (Moto Lita) in other cars, so I figured I should be able to make it work.

Two small mods were necessary. A tab inside the wheel hub had to be fabricated and secured. This captures the trafficator outer rotating collar. The other mod was a bushing on the stator shaft to hold the trafficator centered in the steering wheel hub. I used the high-tech method of wrapping the shaft with masking tape, and then applying some lithium lube to it. Seems to work just fine. Hope it lasts a good long time.

Right now I am cleaning and reassembling the carbs with the master parts kits. Maybe today or tomorrow I can get it all done.
