Traffic indicator rotor woes

Part of my recent problem with electrics was that the indicator on the steering head was not working properly, and it certainly won't now. The rotor has broken, ie. the bakerlite part that acts as a pivot and contact maker on the end of the indicator operating lever.

I do not think anyone on this side of the pond makes them as a spare part :wall: and why should they when they can clean up with a sale for a whole new unit at ÂŁ200 + vat for what is really needed is a 10 pence part.

Sooooo, has any one in the rest of the world taken the big step and manufacture them as a spare?

Bob

Thanks for the heads up but -

Are you sure that you have the correct address for Curt, my computer does not like the one that you have supplied.

Bob

Bob,

Replace the at with the @ sign without spaces, as below.

Duane,

Made the mistake of copying and pasting then altering the address to include the @ with no spaces - that failed due to " " at each end - DOH.

All done now

Thanks

Bob

Result again.

Whilst sourcing parts for the wiper motor I happened to mention the rotor, blow me down they had one yippeeeee, all systems go, saved myself a small fortune I hope. I new horn and indicator head is just short of ÂŁ240 including Vat then postage on top.:greedy_dollars:

I will pursue the rotor with Curt though, a spare is always handy.

Bob
