Track Car Progress

Well I made some progress on assembling the car after the fresh paint. Drive train is in and the car is running, one electrical issue to resolve around the low oil pressure light (always on even with 60 psig), I need to bleed the brakes and clutch, and adjust the toe when I get the new wheels on and can get some weight on the suspension, but otherwise things look good for next weekend at Summit Point.

Take notice of the BCF badge on the grille. Don't mind the Miata hood on top of the roll cage, that is just another project that needs to be done by next weekend.

Looks good Chris. Good luck at Summit Point.

Now you know we will need a full report double spaced.

Nice work, Chris. That's gonna be fun...

Chris:

It looks real good, I am a lil concerned of your oil pressure, it sounds a bit on the high side to me.

Great work, keep us posted.
Patrick

Looking real good Chris.

Don't forget to race on those tires so I can keep up with you! /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/jester.gif

As far as I can see , we should have a pretty good Brit-car turnout next weekend. We'll have Pete's Sprite and Bruce's Mini (both 1275s) plus, I think, Mike 1275 Spridget (the yellow one) plus my 1500. Mike bought a second track Spridget, so I'm not sure which car he's bringing if he comes.
Pete and Bruce are supposedly coming with their cars on a double-trailer that Pete is still finishing as we speak.

My car is untouched since November, since I have been trying to get the Escort ready. I will likely bring #11 to the first two EMRA events and then switch to the Escort for the rest of the season. As the year goes on, I hope to run the Spridget at more VRG events (including the Pittsburgh Vintage).
Speaking of which, you should go to the VRG event at NHIS on May 18-20. It's not that far from you, gives lots of track time and is pretty cheap. The VRG gang are a good group and as long as your car doesn't have flares, you will be welcome to run with them. I know those guys pretty well so if you have any questions about VRG, I can probably answer them.

Note: If you're planning on using Rt. 78 in PA for part of your tow, have a look at the note that I put on the EMRA Boardroom.
