Wedge TR8's For Sale

The first one looks like the "steal of the month". $5K for a 33K mile unmolested SO.CAL FI TR8? I almost hit the "buy it now" for that one last night myself. Then the tran$portation reality check blues set in.

Yeah, and the two pre-production coupes on ebay haven't done well. On one the bidding ended with one bid, reserve not met. The other's still on there, but no action.

There's a part of me that is saddened by the lack of interest in these great cars. But then, it keeps the price down to where it's affordable. Stigma's hard to overcome, it would seem.

The $5k one might not be the deal it appears to be. I emailed seller and per the eBay warning they are registered on another/foreign eBay site and speak another language.

I have not heard back from them yet.

It may not be a scam, but it has some of the trappings of it.

I emailed the seller and got a reply from Chris Hansen of Dateline NBC???????????

Well at least someone was smart enough to "buy it now" and not just keep emailing him.

I hope they did not get scammed!

There are ways to tell if everything is on the up and up. I was in phone and email contact within 12 hours of my purchase and he was more than helpful with my picture requests and further description. If an Ebay seller is very evasive or prone to angry outbursts over any questions, I say watch out.
